K-8 Swim Club

Grades 6-7-8 Swim Program
K-8 After School Swim Sessions
All sessions are on Thursdays

Grade 6, 7, 8 swim classes are part of the regular Physical Education program at SFSHS. These classes are held at the YMCA adjacent to the school during the regular school day. Each grade level will meet for eight weeks between 2:00-2:40 PM for their swimming class. Separate notices will be sent home as each grade level rotates into the swim program.

The sixth, seventh, and eighth grade Swim Program is part of the regular Thursday gym class. However, if for good reason a student is unable to take part in the swim program, alternate arrangements will be made with the parents and principal.

The After School Swim Program is open to students in Grades K-8. This program will run after school from approximately 2:45-4 PM. Students will be placed in groups according to ability and skill. If groups become too large, schedules will need to be modified.

For both the Physical Education Swim Program and the After School Swim Program, the Y will be providing both a certified swim instructor and a certified life guard. For the After School Program, SFSHS personnel or YMCA personnel will monitor students in the locker rooms.

There is no cost for the PE/gym program.

Cost for the after school program is $70./ student. Checks should be made payable to “St. Francis-St. Hedwig School” with the notation “Swim Program” on the memo line.

Some financial support may be available through the school for interested students.
